Why ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-backed approach that helps individuals make meaningful, lasting progress in everyday life. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) use proven, compassionate strategies to build practical skills, support positive behavior, and help our clients and families feel more successful, confident, and independent in ways that are tailored to their unique needs.
Why Board Certification matters when looking for a provider.
Board certification ensures that your provider has met rigorous education, training, and ethical standards in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are required to complete extensive supervised experience, pass a national exam, and engage in ongoing continuing education. This helps ensure that therapy is guided by evidence-based, ethical, and effective practices - giving families confidence that services are high quality, accountable, and centered on the individual’s best interests. Who benefits?
ABA therapy is designed to support not just the individual receiving services, but the whole family. We work closely with caregivers to focus on skills that make daily life easier, more meaningful, and more successful for everyone involved.
Where does therapy take place?
We focus on teaching skills where they’re needed most in everyday life. Most sessions take place in the home, where children are most comfortable and routines naturally occur. When appropriate, we can also provide support at school and in the community - such as during shopping trips, park outings, or other real-world activities - to help skills generalize across settings.
How intensive is ABA?
We understand how busy family life can be - especially for older individuals - which is why we work closely with each family to create a schedule that feels both manageable and meaningful. The most important factor in ABA therapy is consistency. While some families may only be able to commit a limited number of hours each week, we typically see the strongest progress when services are provided across 4-5 days per week, allowing skills to build and generalize more effectively.
How involved do I have to be?
We see the best progress when caregivers are involved and learning alongside their loved one during therapy. This partnership helps ensure that, when ABA services end, families feel confident using these skills in everyday life, supporting continued growth and success long after the ABA journey is complete.
What does a typical ABA session look like?
We are an assent-based, client-led practice, which means we begin by making sure each individual feels comfortable, respected, and able to self-advocate. Sessions are designed to feel natural and engaging, with important skills embedded into everyday moments - through play, social interactions, and daily routines. For us, every interaction is an opportunity to gently and intentionally build skills in a way that feels meaningful and fun.
What should I expect to see during the first few sessions?
The first few sessions may look a little “boring” at first, and that’s completely intentional. These early sessions are all about building trust, comfort, and clear expectations. Children are much more likely to learn from people they feel safe with and enjoy being around, so we focus on showing them that we are fun, predictable, and supportive. During this time, we’re also getting to know each child’s interests, preferences, and potential triggers so we can prevent challenges and better support regulation as therapy progresses.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept most major insurance carrier plans. Fortunately, because ABA has been proven so effective for treatment of behaviors in individuals with developmental delays, many insurance carrier plans cover most or all of ABA treatment. We continue to contract with the majority of insurance carriers. If you are covered by an insurance carrier with whom we are not credentialed, we can typically hammer out a single-case agreement with that carrier for specific clients.
What is the cost of therapy sessions?
Expenses can vary from family to family based on several factors, including the insurance carrier, specific plan, copays, deductibles, and whether services are in- or out-of-network. We help families frequently navigate these variables. Feel free to reach out so we can walk through your individual situation together.
How do I get started?
It all starts with an initial contact either through this site, by email, or with a quick phone call. We’ll gather your needs and goals and our team will review your request. Once approved, you’ll complete the intake paperwork. If you’re using insurance, we’ll submit a request to your carrier for an initial assessment. After the assessment is completed, we’ll request authorization to begin direct, individualized services. From there, our clinical and scheduling teams will connect with you to plan your first session.
We take things one step at a time and we’ll be with you throughout the entire process.
